UK Defence First supports the renaissance of the British defence industry. When procuring new equipment, munitions or weapons systems, the UK Government should be looking to Britain first. Jobs, innovation and investment will all grow if small and medium sized enterprises gain the same access to the UK defence supply chain as the established big defence contractors.

While we value our NATO alliance, the UK should never be dependent on any one country - be that the European Union or the United States - for its defence needs. The UK today as a sovereign nation which must be capable of defending its own borders with its own capabilities, provided by its own domestic defence sector.

UK Defence First welcomes dialogue with enterprises which aspire to become part of the integrated UK defence supply chain. Our activities and events are geared towards increasing public spending on the sector and achieving optimum returns for every pound spent.
